Argyle v. 1.0
Argyle is one of those patterns that's so cool and so nerdy all at the same time.
My dad asked me to bake a cake for the little boys at church. "Do whatever you want," he said. Sweet. I love the opportunity to try something new while making people happy at the same time.
Argyle, I learned, requires very precise measurements and concentration. I was running short on time, so I sort of had to slap it together. The boys didn't know the difference, and I was able to work out the kinks before a bigger cake I had to make later in the week.
The color scheme and original inspiration to learn this pattern came from my favorite pair of knee-high socks. Oh yeah. I break them out on special occasions.
